The following article entitled An Open Letter to our pastors was recently published in the Beaufort Observer. It received enormous response.
As a follow-up the Beaufort Patriot TEA Party will be hosting Dr. Mark Creech, the Director of the Christian Action League as our featured speaker at our September meeting. Rev. Creech will discuss how pastors and lay leaders can, and should, become more involved in what is happening in our nation, including the upcoming elections. He will speak specifically to the issue of how churches can and should avoid violating current rules and regulations related to political activity.
Those who have studied American history know that had it not been for courageous church leaders the American independence movement would never have resulted in our gaining our liberty from the King of England. Many of us believe the only salvation of our nation today is that our church leaders lead a Great Awakening to return to Godís Law and the principles upon which our nation was founded.
Join us on September 15, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at our regular meeting place, the west end of the Mt. Olive University building at 4525 US 264 W in Washington, NC.
Please forward this to your pastor and key lay leaders and invite them to attend.
